Moving Well with Parkinson's Disease

Build strength, stability and confidence in your body whilst navigating Parkinson’s disease.

You are noticing that you are a little bit stiffer in the mornings, your balance isn't what it used to be. And you are starting to get worried that this is the start of something more - you question whether you are starting to lose your independence.

You want to stay mobile, maintain your independence and feel confident in your body again so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

Join me (Helen Truman, Pilates Teacher) for a 60-minute session where we talk about how a structured movement programme can help you to restore the confidence in your body.

Date: 17th June

Time: 12pm

Location: Online

Rebuild confidence in your body through simple, structured movement that feels safe and supportive.

In this training you will discover:

  • How a structured approach to movement will restore confidence in your body

  • The importance of mobility, breath and balance so that you can navigate daily life with ease and confidence

  • Simple exercises to start to restore movement in the body so that you can get back to enjoying life.

Hello, My name is Helen

I know how worrying it can be when your health changes, especially when you still have so much life to live!

Before becoming a Pilates teacher, I worked for years in the corporate world as an IT Project Manager. I understand what it’s like to juggle responsibility, pressure, and long working days while trying to look after your health.

Living with coeliac disease has also shown me first-hand how a diagnosis can quietly change everyday life.

It's why I care so deeply about creating a space where my clients feel supported - especially those who don’t feel served by large fitness classes or one-size-fits-all approaches.

And why I continue to deepen my knowledge through ongoing training, workshops, and biomechanics study.

But most importantly, it's why I listen.

Because when people feel seen, supported, and safe to move again, confidence starts to return.

And that changes everything.
